Attacking isn't questionable....
It was the ordering of the 180° to happen when they reappeared without any qualifiers to put it into "come around behind" the videni.... It looked like (and thus Vork and Johnson took it as) an order to strike once and peel off... which is a pretty clear violation unless you also get hit.

But what you were expecting was to be Round 2 start _______________««_______________

Ahh... I see the disconnect now, and it was on my part. The diagram helped. I completely forgot about the distance factor in the equation. We were so far away from the Videni ship that the Immelmann turn at that distance was ineffective and useless. Had the gap between the ships been closer, then the maneuver would have been effective. Well, as I said, I am no expert on aerial or space tactics. I'm just a gamer with no training, formal or informal, in any of these fields. I guess the crew can chalk it up to a crazy Andromedan being in command. If this pans out and we survive, maybe Jasper will get a maneuver named after him something like the Crazy Andromedan. ;D

Diagrams are good. Feel free to ask for them. Feel free to draw them, too... the tag is [tt] and [/tt] to get monospaced font, and and to hide the spacing underscores.... I used 1 underscore per 10K KM, FYI.
I like ascii art.

What changes did you make to the Adak Sector Map today? I looked at the map and it looks the same as before, but the site says it was updated today.

Hey guys, sorry for the impromptu hiatus. My family and I went for an extended weekend mini-vacation in the mountains and, after packing stuff for my wife, my 4-year-old, my 2-year-old, my 3-month-old, and a dog, I forgot to pack the power cable for my laptop computer. I ran out of battery power the day after we got up there.

Been there, done that... Had a migraine since sunday night, so not a big deal. If I wake up with it in the morning, I go see the doc.

I forgot to pack the power cable for my laptop computer. I ran out of battery power the day after we got up there. I hear that too. My laptop (I could use the wifes, but I'd have to be careful with it rather than toss it around when it annoys me) won't work for more than 10 minutes without the power cable from a full charge. Knackered battery? Know about the logistics of family holidays too - an autistic 7 year old, hyperactive 6 month old, a dog, and a wife addicted to spending money we haven't got. I fear for my mental health sometimes...

Hehehe... yeah, there is really nothing "relaxing" about an extended weekend getaway with the family, and a father-in-law and brother-in-law, LOL! Especially when you're only escape mechanism is dead in the water.

apn, what do you think? Should we try to speak with our 'guest' in the shuttle?

Leaving without finding out what the thing wants, or is, or has done (I suspect) to the Doctor might be bad news. For all we know the Doctor has had his mind devoured or absorbed by that thing and all we're transporting back is a vegetable, no good for much. I'd say we need to take another look, but possible in numbers, so if it does do something to one of us, the others can beat him senseless.

Traveling to Florida for the weekend for a friend's wedding. I'll be back Monday night. I should be able to get a computer somewhere during the weekend, but if I am scarce this weekend then I might not get around to one.

Just and FYI: I'm seeing all the image links broken in the starbase and ship threads.
