For monday night (or earlier if everyone posts), indicate presence on the mission, and if you wish to scour the brig or not.
And, using the map in the DD Plans, claim your room.

As they exited the Admiral's office, Jasper turns to O'Keef and says, "greetings, Spacehand O'Keef, I am Ensign Jasper Alizarin. It's a pleasure to meet and look forward to working with you. Gather your gear, settle any outstanding affairs, and I'll meet you on the Thermopylae in an hour. We'll visit the brig together and see about putting a crew together. In an hour sharp then, dismissed." Even as he was talking to her, Jasper was reaching out with his mind to pick up on Spacehand O'Keef's surface feelings and thoughts, hoping to get a feel for the Thermopylae's new Chief of Security. Jasper leaves and gathers his belongings together and boards the Thermopylae. He finds the section with the Officers' Quarters and selects the room nearest the hallway to the bridge as he own. He throws his duffel bag on the bed and sets down his box of personal effects. He puts a few things from the box onto the desk, clearly indicating that this room has been claimed, and then walks the hallways of the ship that he can access. He makes mental notes of the rooms, sections, and layout of the ship. ============================================== OOC: Jasper will use his psionic abilities of Empathy and ESP on O'Keef while talking to her. Jasper's ESP check = 6. Jasper claims Officer's Quarter #18.

Following the Admiral's briefing, Ensign Grendel D'Argent exchanged a few greetings with some of his fellow officers. He watched as the Andromedan walked away with the new Security Chief O'Keef.
"We'll visit the brig together and see about putting a crew together. In an hour sharp then, dismissed.", the tall, blue-furred officer said to O'Keef.
Oh no, Big Blue, thought Grendel. Not before I see if the brig's got anyone who knows the right end of sonic-spanner to handle.
Why did there have to be an Andromedan?, he mused silently to himself as he went to his locker. Keeping the filters clean of blue fur is such a pain...at least he's not in a molting phase. Then, Grendel knew, there would be nothing to see of the blue furry being EXCEPT for trails of blue fur wherever he/she/it passed by.
Arriving at his locker, he retrieved his few personnel belongings in a small duffle bag. When aboard the Thermopylae, I will probably have to make sure to adjust the Andromedan's...Alzan? Alzaran?, I think he/she/it said his/her/its name was...Argh...the pronouns drive me crazy. Just think of Big Blue as "Alzaran", it's easier. I'll have to adjust Alzaran's climate settings for his quarters. His species ALWAYS finds rooms too warm... He continued tallying the species' quirks, not wanting to think of the one he most disliked: their ability to mind-snoop. That was one thing Grendel, as a Rigellian, truly was wary of.
He headed to the brig, refocusing his mind to see if anyone there had a Technician background.

Story mode stuff in the narrative section.
There is one Tauran technician in the brig: Shlemiel. A comm tech, rank Spacehand Apprentice . Gear in the locker labeled "Prisoner Shlemiel, SA, Insubordination": Communicator, Data Slate, Rad Suit.
Complaint board lists O'Keef as having been charged by a Lt. Donar, CO of the CSS Aleutians. Shlemiel was charged by the same officer.
Stardates: each day is 1/10 stardate. an hour is .005 stardates. Locker next to it is labeled "Prisoner O'Keef, SH, Assaulting an officer." It contains her gear. She arrives just after D'Argent, to pick up her gear.

Ok. O'keef and grendel are in security, Jaspar's investigating the ship.
Jaspar finds things pretty much as advertised. There's a note on the bridge toilet door: "Sorry, wrong part..." The bridge toilet compartment, in a nice aqua scheme, has a hot pink commode. Engineering is in good order.
Don't forget to requisition ship's items. Same budget as the CO's personal. Or in this case, acting CO.

O'Keef takes the room furthest from engineering. The order, once forwarded, will be delivered by supply corps in 1 hour.
Drohem: Give me an "online roll" vs int, and a d6 questions if made.

As Grendel examines the board, the entry door opens, and in walks Paddy. She goes straight to the lockers, pulls out her gear, then goes to cell 2, and grabs the remaining uniforms, shoving them into a standard issue carry-case, and suddenly realizes whom she's seeing here. "Schlock's a wanna-be Videni, sir. Danger to us. Do us all a favor, leave it here." Her voice comes across as strident, her tone almost condescending. "Something's bugging you. Hell, probably me. Whatever. I hate how I know how people feel, but not what they're thinking." "I appreciate your assessment, O'Keef," replied Grendel, thinking to himself, Schlock/Shlemiel isn't exactly what I was looking for. And adding more fodder onboard for O'Keef would cause abit too much instability at this stage. Of course, security could always use target practice..."He can stay where he's at. Don't take it personally, it's not you grinding my gears. You're the nicest thing that's happened to the Thermopylae today." He pauses a moment. "It's actually..." Suddenly his communicator beeps. "...that!" Flipping it open, he hears Jasper's voice, "Captain D'Argent, this is Ensign Alizarin. I am aboard the Thermopylae. In reviewing the ship's requisition orders, I noticed that some critical items are lacking. I would like to put in an expedited requisition order for a Planetary Radar Tracking Unit, an Auto-Analyzer, and a Medikit. May I have your permission to go forward with this requisition, Sir?" "Very good, Alizarin," Grendel said, noting his earlier mishandling of the Andromedan's name. "Do what you can to get what she needs. I'll be coming aboard soon and you can give me a full report." Best to keep Big Blue busy. A busy Blue is a happy Blue!"If you'll excuse me O'Keef, I have to go make sure our legs will be in good shape before we start running. Engineering reports always tend to say things are nominal just to make you feel too comfortable. And too comfortable is always when the other guy pulls a Denebian Nova Flush on you when all your money's in the pot." Grendel shoulders his bag and begins to head towards the ship. Once there, he'll claim the room nearest Engineering and then head there to check through things personally.

Option BCreative recruiting by brig-filling. Hehehehe... you got some Andromean in you? I was thinking of sending O'Keef into a bar and instigating a free-for-all brawl to get some people thrown in the Brig as a roundabout way of getting more crewmen for our ship, but I wanted to run it by Grendel first since he was designated the Captain of the ship.

APN: just a reminder... there are only 5 people on the ship, total. 3 enlisted, 2 officer. There was no one to encounter in the halls... Departure time... Encounters hex by hex [dice=6] [rand=0082142842713595073078394932493725422917383270802761414159156981739]

Well, several hours in you detect a ship near waypoint 0406.
Someone Needs to make a contact roll (preferably using the built in [dice=20] function tag... it's easier for me to read it) to get sensor data, and if made, 1d6 [dice=6] for number of Y/N questions.
