Sorry guys, but Halloween is big business when you have two toddlers and wife. ;D It's my wife's favorite holiday, and we had a lot activities this weekend which wiped me out most nights. OK, back to the Snipe Hunt. Jasper's plan is simple. He plans to walk around the hallway immediately outside the Bridge twice. The first time will be along the inner wall (closest to Bridge) and then to walk along the outer wall. After that, they'll move over to the next circular hallway and do it all over again twice- first along the inner wall and then again along the outer wall. After the outer hallway has been checked, then they move into rooms that are against the hull of the ship.

I'm presuming clockwise, starting port aft bridge door... As you pass the fore end of the shuttlebay, you note the black skid marks on the floor, and they lead straight to weapons bay door.

Grayson won't mess around or spend time talking. He wants to take aim, move quietly to the best position possible and wait for the captain to order him to fire. Mind you... this, uh, torpedo. How likely is it to go off if he misses and strikes it? *coughs nervously*

Blow up on miss: About 75% likely as far as you can tell; the critter is sitting atop the magnetic bottle for the warhead, and the "armed" indicator is on; and mostly inside the torpedo casing. Even overkilling the critter could set it off...

Ah. Crap. Right Drohem, how about this plan. We attack it with our hands, or get the dog to sic it. I have a nasty (bad is several levels safer...) feeling about this...

Yeah, no firing near the live torpedo is a good plan. It looks like this situation is going to required a good old-fashioned beat down. This is where Alex gets to shine. Jasper's intentions are to grab it from behind and yank it out of the torpedo nosecone. Just let me know what rolls I need to make for the attempt.

Grayson will take a closer look at what the creature left behind. Seems to be some kind of strange attempt for it to leave the ship/colonise some other place. Or blow us all to hell.

Questions:
1. Is the tissue in the mass genetically similar to the aquatic creature? 2. Is this a developing life form? 3. Is there more than one life form developing inside the tissue mass? 4. Are the cells within converting radiation to energy?

Questions: 1. Is the tissue in the mass genetically similar to the aquatic creature? 2. Is this a developing life form? 3. Is there more than one life form developing inside the tissue mass? 4. Are the cells within converting radiation to energy? Treating #3 as "How many life forms are developing in the tissue mass" since this is a sensors test. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. 24 life forms 4. No.

If the Cap'n is ok with it, Grayson will go to the hydroponics bay and grab some glass beakers with lids, tongs, whatever is used for handling plants and so on, then go back to the torpedo room. He intends to scoop the things into a jar and toss 'em in the freezer unless someone has a better idea.

You will not find much of that sort in Hyrdoponics; Hyrdoponics is the garden. Ok, rack after rack of plants and growlights, plus the air circulation fans.
You want the science lab.

Yeah, good ideas here apn! Is there anything aboard the ship that would allow us to keep a corpse in good condition? Is there a vat of formaldehyde in Sick Bay, or some equivalent? Or possibly something to flash-freeze it?
