I'm actually ready to begin playing again. Sorry for the delay aramis but I had more work than I expected on my new place and it took awhile to get settled. I hope everyone is doing well.

Crap, Aramis... sorry to hear all that stuff you're going through. Just do whatever you need to do to get out of that, man. Don't worry about us. Take care!

Actually, Magnus, gaming is probably my BEST therapy. So, last I looked, people were looking to take the new set of aliens to the rec room where Craigers has the other Universal Translator...

Flew down to Oregon thursday to say Goodbye to Granddaddy, who was fading fast. I was waiting during a layover when he passed friday morning.
Got back early this morning. Spent time with some friends as well as some time with mom & dad while I was down.

I'm sorry to hear about that aramis. I hope you at least got to spend some quality time with your family and friends.
Take some time off if needed, we'll be here when you return.

I, my parents, and my kids are Catholic. Granddaddy was raised Methodist, married a presbyterian, and raised my mom presbyterian. For many years, he was an adherent of the "new age prophet" Edgar Cayce. In the last year, he started talking about purgatory (a uniquely Catholic term, but a concept shared with the Orthodox and some Lutherans, Presbyterians, and many Anglicans). Shortly before his stroke, he asked to be baptized, as he'd not been. Mom was going to ask the priest about it, but then the stroke happened, and he couldn't communicate. Mom still asked the priest, and Granddaddy was baptized 2 days after the stroke. he died 7 days after the stroke.
So, yes, I do believe he's in a better place. The prodigal son is a relevant theological source in his case.

Are we still aboard the CSS Thermopylae? Hopefully everyone is doing well.

I'm just waiting for someone to do something. And, between work and illness (cold/flu), not been feeling like prompting for same.

I'm still around, but a bit lost as to what I can do, honestly.

Hint: Solor and Paddy have figured something important out. The questions are now, what do you do about it, how does it affect the ship besides Subspace Radio, and whether you want to take him with, get him off the ship, or have him decide.

I had the flu last week too. I'm on my way back to the Mess Hall to alert RJ to the situation and attempt to communicate with Mook again. Has enough time passed to make another attempt with the UT?
