Don't forget: you can text message the base... Cool, is this real time or is there a delay?

Delay, but not too long... I've been figuring warp 40 for it... 1/2 hour per hex. Costs a power for an attempt, and is, at this range, CS-16 to get through. More power can boost that roll, tho'... +1 power for +1 roll. So you've got a base 25% chance to get through on a given attempt.

OK, it's probably me and not Jasper, so... I'm a little unclear about what Ahz said about Žabar. A couple of questions:- Is Ahz of the People of the Day?
- Is Žabar of the People of Night, or are Tanku of the People of the Night?

Ahz is of the people of the day, Žabar of the Night.
Note also: you can instruct the UT to not translate any particular terms, if you want to dig into the linguistics side of things.
IMPORTANT I'll be out of town, and sans computer, thursday and friday.

OK guys, at this point, Jasper is ready to pull the plug and Warp the hell back to Confederation space pronto. There's no way we can face more than one of those creatures at a time. One of them nearly took us down before.
However, from a meta-game POV, what do you other players want to do at this point?

You've never encountered them. Yet. You've met two of the three species described so far by Ahz.

You've never encountered them. Yet. You've met two of the three species described so far by Ahz. Now, I am confused. Ahz has described three species so far? Jasper was asking if the Drakis look like the creature that was on Dr, Kordoba's shuttle, and Ahz's answer seems to support it.

not the same. The thing from Kordoba's shuttle was squidlike. This is more like a sealion crossed with a beluga whale with arms and extra flippers.

It’s up to you Captain. Personally, I’m not sure I want to confront huge creatures with claws since I just settled into my living quarters!

That's why I have a three thread model! Reiterating it for Craigers...
If it's in narrative, it's a description or conversation.
If it needs a roll or a GM call or a rules resolution, or is conditional, Actions
If it's OOC, here in chatter. Nothing in chatter happens in game until it's reposted in Actions or narrative.
Non-conditional actions should have a description of the start in Narrative...
Conditionals are only in the Actions until they kick in, and then they get described in Narrative.

I actually meant for that comment to be OOC. Sorry for any confusion aramis.

Despite appearances, I don't want Jasper to hog the spotlight so I thought maybe the other characters could make some rolls and see what shakes loose, so to speak.

It's Pascha weekend. I may or may not find time/energy to check in through monday.

Thank you for the explanation of the sensor rules aramis.
Before I make my contact roll and list of questions can I ask Jasper in-game if there are any questions he would like asked?
