Nice! All you need, right there! Supplement 1 would be nice... Really, I like the Pocket/Designer's rules with the Commander's SSD Books... Actually, I prefer a hybrid of SFBM and SFB... which I used with Commander's SFB for a couple of years while doing RPGing with a home-written variant ruleset. Which are the 8 SSDs in pocket? CA/CC, DD/SC, D7/D6, and what else?

It's nice to see a game company "wise up" and market original versions of their game. SFB is one of those games that started out awesome, but then expanded so quickly that I couldn't keep up with the rules bloat. I much prefer the original to the later version, and it's great to see it for sale from a legit group instead of pirates.

I don't recall offhand, but remember that SFB is based on the Franz Joseph book and as such stays pretty canon to the original series. I'm pretty sure the Romulin Warbird is one of the eight. I'll see if I can track this list down for you.

Got it. The rulebook claims to offer 13 different types of starship, but clearly several of these are variants on the same SSD. Not exactly the mix I had expected, since I thought there would be a DD and SC for the Federation and a C8/C9 for the Klingons, but a nice mix of ships.
Federation: 1. Dreadnaught 2. Command Cruiser / Heavy Cruiser 3. Light Cruiser
Klingons: 4. D6/D7 Battlecruiser
Kzinti: 5. Strike Cruiser / Light Cruiser
Romulins: 6. Warbird / War Eagle
Gorns: 7. Heavy Cruiser / Light Cruiser
General: 8. Base Station

Hmm... anyone still got their designer's ed SSD's uncut? I'm curious now to know what the mix was there...

I have them, and they are uncut, but I cannot be 100% certain that I didn't mix in any from the three expansion sets. (I don't recall the expansions having SSD's, but they might have.)
My Designer's Box Set is in a box somewhere. I'll hunt for it.

I’ve got Designer’s and Pocket, and none of the Expansions, so I could tell you for sure. I can’t get at the box till tomorrow, though. (Possibly Monday.)

Klingons: 4. D6/D7 Battlecruiser For the record, this is also the Klingon-Romulan Cruiser (A.K.A. Romulan KR Cruiser).

My Designer's Box Set is in a box somewhere. I'll hunt for it. The expansions DID have SSD's. They added whole races, and many additional ships. Now, I happen to know where all my Commander's SSD books are... #1-#11...

I stumbled across my Designer's Rulebook (I didn't realize I HAD a Designer's Rulebook - I never bought one, but I've got one in dead tree, I don't know why nor how.)... it has in the back a master ship chart, and notes in chapter IV what's shared SSD's from the original 8 Comparing the two... Race | Pocket | Designer's | Federation | DN CC/CA CL | DN CC/CA CL DD/SC TT (pods: SL BP) | Klingon | D7/D6 | C9/C8 D7/D6 F5 E4 | Kzinti | CS/CL | CV CS/CL FF (Ftr: AS) | Romulan | WE/WB KR* | WE/WB KR* KF5R* | Gorn | CA/CL | CA/CL DD | Tholian | — | PC | Orion | — | CR BS | General | BS | BS SB FL FS | [cs=3]* uses klingon SSD |
In flipping through it, it's amazing just how far the game has changed.

I’d love to hear your analysis of the changes! I challenge you to distill the “improvements” down to a sing page of errata like you did for Federation Space!
