I can send 6 teams total. I want to send the 2 nav teams for the main mission. I will have 2 other encounters, and have to pick teams prior to rolling for them. Hence, the separate posts... The forest column has 2 Geo, 4 plant, 4 herbivore, 3 carnivore, 4 sentient, 2 disease, 1 disaster. I'll send a Sentient contact team, a military team, an Animal Physio team, and a Botany team. Weak odds, and next turn I can refine them based upon what hits.
