Okay, that just put a big smile on my face. I really, really like your art style. That fake-Kirk and those Klingons farther down the page just kill me.

Welcome! Your work looks very cool. But can you explain the concept of paper miniatures?
If you don’t mind a bit of feedback, the shade of blue (shirts/skirts) seems to me a lot darker than what it is in the show. Also, it was really rare to see a gold dress; they seemed to usually wear red or blue depending on what best matched their hair and complexion! But perhaps you had specific PCs in mind when you created this?

By the way, are Captain Jones and Redshirt Jones related? ;-)

Okumarts, those are absolutely awesome! Have an exalt for that!
One pet peeve of mine, though -- do you really have to call them "away team one"? I mean, that's a Next Gen term. In TOS, it was always "landing party".
(I wonder if it's worth creating a new thread just for pet peeves, gripes, quibbles and such, instead of hijacking such a lovely thread as this...)

Away Team was a term (If I recall correctly) that was coined by David Gerrold before the next generation, but I'm not really a canonist and neither are my players. I just finished drawing the rest of the Klingons and will now have to colour them. I'll be working on a set of Romulans next, then another away team set. There is a set of classic trek monsters (mugato!) and a bridge crew set I want to do as well. After that, well, it will depend what I need for my campaign.

Well all I can say is very nice job, I will use this without doubt when my table group next plays!! IF you are looking to do another set let me know I will be using the same PC's that I am using here in the PbP section and would love to have "custom" figures. Again really nice work!! I always appreciate someone who has artistic talent, I can tell stories but am challenged by stick figures!!

These are just what I needed for my game in a couple of weeks! Awesomesauce! Get those Klingons colored, as I need Klingons! Another exalt!

I can't get over just how much personality these figures ooze. They're all pretty much amazing.
Can't wait to see the Mugato.

They are great, and I'd love to see a bunch more so my players have some more options to pick from. Have an EXALT from me!

Welcome! Your work looks very cool. But can you explain the concept of paper miniatures? I absolutely love paper minis, as I hate to paint, but love being able to use colorful minis in my games: plus I can print as many as I need. To see more really good examples of paper minis, check out www.onemonk.com , which has loads of freebie sets to download and try out. Also, the bases you'll need for these minis are on that site as well!

The link in the OP sends me to another board, one which I am not a member. I was re-reading that thread and they were talking about some Star Trek rules for Savage Worlds. Anyone know anything about these, or do I need to join the other board just to ask?

They said they are talking about "a combination of Renny's, The one on the SW Wiki and Red Alert with my own alterations" Renny's - still under development, but conversions of alien races and lists of edges, hindrances, etc with examples. SW Wiki where you can find Savage Star Trek - similar to Renny's, but he's got a little further with documenting his conversion. SW Conversions site, where you can find Star Trek Red Alert (scroll down), a great set of character-oriented rules for starship combat using the SW approach. If you're into SW, there's more than enough on these three spaces to get you started with using it for Trek.
