How do we work this? Are these questions are for the computer/sensors?

APN: just a reminder... there are only 5 people on the ship, total. 3 enlisted, 2 officer. There was no one to encounter in the halls... Departure time... Encounters hex by hex Oh right, I figured someone had beamed him aboard as per the Enterprise would. In that case Alex will have wandered the corridors shouting "ECHO!" to try and get his voice to... well, echo. He'll feel considerably more important too. Something along the lines of 20% importance to the ships crew I should think

You can fire them one at a time, or all at once...I'll check in again in a couple hours. Since it's sensors, I'll also let you ask short answer questions (1-2 word or a number answers). You get the following data for free: Warp 0, no transponder signature, not broadcasting.

Questions:
1. Is the ship moving under nuclear power?
2. Does the ship's profile (i.e. shape or outline) correspond to known Zangid or Videni ships?

These are for the GM, and not the computer...
Can we hail and establish communication with other ships while in hyperdrive? I don't think so, but wanted to make sure first.
Is it common for non S.F.S. ships to have no transponder signal and/or not be broadcasting?

In Confed space, operating without a transponder would be extremely rare. It's a criminal offense for civil ships.
Comms: Hailing range is 1 LY (1 hex); yes you can hail at warp, but it's not gonna be stable; DM - Σ(WFtx & WFrx), no video. Successful roll is minutes.
Longer range is text only live, or recoded messages, and requires you be stopped, DM-2 per hex.

Let me know if you're waiting for actions from the redneck (Grayson) - chain of command etc suggests I should wait for an order from the boss before opening fire with all weapons etc

What? You're not going to attempt to get the computer to declare it a prime target? If you have something Grayson should be doing, don't hesitate to post it.. I normally check in around 1400 Zulu Time... but it being summer, I've lots of free time, and in cases like the questions, Dro got it online, and you can make suggestions (label them such) for him to pick from. You can also post in-character reactions to mechanical situations... Like having Grayson break out his moleskine and scribblestick and make a personal log entry about the situation.

Rest of the questions:
3. Does the ship have any ship-to-ship weapon systems?
4. How many lifeforms are aboard?

3: not that can be detected at this range 4: that's a short range scan kind of thing. try again. (IE, no charge)

the power signature is 100PU and it's spending 10, of which 5 would be Nuclear Drive. You can't tell how the rest is being spent, but it has no shields up.

OK, one last question to the GM before I post in the Narrative thread...
how much energy have we expended thus far?
