Question #3: Are any non-natural radio wave emanating from the planet's surface? No. Not sure if Grayson can pick up the ship from his weapons station? If he can try. restricted to military & targetting but yes, he can access sensor data. [dice=6+1] questions. 1. No ships detectable in system at this time.[rand=746577992103993910699717863462865905587845249101539611345157027245]

In the game world, does a ship that Warps out of an orbit leave any kind of signature? Is there any tell tale signs immediately after a ship goes to Warp speed?

yes, it does... but they're only detectable for a matter of hours. However, there's also the fact that you can check via warping out bound and looking on visual, as the visual imagery is all light-speed.

Has it been more than a couple of hours since we first detected the ship in orbit of this planet?
What kind of roll would it be to detect the trail?

You were over half a LY when out when you detected it on visual wavelengths... it was gone months ago.

You were over half a LY when out when you detected it on visual wavelengths... it was gone months ago. Ah huh! OK, that explains it. How long has Donnie and Patty been on their sleep shift?

About 2 hours

OK, I edited my last post in the Narrative thread to reflect this data. We'll wait for Patty and Donnie to sleep for another couple of hours and then we'll go down to the planet's surface as an Away Team. Alex might get to shoot stuff!

KK. Any scans of the planet?
And Grayson's other 5 military questions?

Sorry, was away all day yesterday watching the filming of 'Top Gear' which was fun but lengthy. Back to important matters...
Questions?
1. Do the ship/s have shields raised? 2. Are the ships of a configuration that matches an enemy (zangid/videni)? 3. Is there trace of transporter activity from the ship in the last hour? 4. Does the ships armament exceed our own firepower? 5. Does the ships crew complement exceed our own?

Yeah, you guys should do a scan of the planet. Jasper already did his scan for the planet, but you guys still have a shot for some more information before we beam down.

APN: since Q1 was answered "1. No ships detectable in system at this time."... you might want to revise the question list. They were all predicated on Q1 being answered "Yes"....

Apologies for delay. Revised questions:
1) Is there intelligent life on the planet? 2) are there records about this planet in the database? 3) if the answer to 1) is yes is the race capable of space travel? 4) are the other lifeforms on the planet dangerous to us? 5) is there anything useful on the planet (with regards dilithium, or this games equivalent - haven't got the rule book to hand as posting from a laptop) we can use to power the ship?
