By the way, to answer a fe questions I missed first time through: Yes, the PE/DE countermix is reconstrcutable with the SFB-CE Basic Set; No, you can't do them with the Klingon Border nor Romulan Border starter sets for FC, tho both would be sufficient for Pocket Edition.
Yes, Aaron, ADB sells spare parts.
Module W is reprinted only every few years. Ask SVC or SPP about it on the forums.
One of the Megahex modules includes the large size hexes; you can't fit them on a normal kitchen table, but a larger (seats 8+) table will usually fit a full megahex version of the "standard map." The hexes are BIG... 32mm... twice the face to face distance of the standard hexes.
Oh, and I just found some of the old Commander's SSD Books. I have 1-9, and spares of #s 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9. These are compatible with both designer's and commander's edition; If you want to by the spares, PM me. (The SSD's hardly changed between the editions, but having the crew tracks, shuttles, and weapons tables to hand is nice.)

I dug through my stuf and the Turn Guages (and other templates) came in Module W which had the map with 1" hexes. I couldn't find it for sale on starfleetgames.com and I think I bought it at a game store. Besides the turn guages there are a couple other things, the one I remember is the Klingon wing phaser firing arcs. It’s here. It’s listed under Starline 2400 Miniatures —> Other.

The Mega hex material was also in full color and was to work in place of miniatures that were absent. I purchased a generic black vinyl map to use with counters and figs.....
