Hi! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and thought I'd jump in. I'm adapting FASA's ST rulebooks into CT and would like to know if this is the proper place to start posting my conversion once it gets done? Thanks in advance!

I would welcome it. If you're like me "CT" is shorthand for "Classic Trek!" If Falconer doesn't like it, I'm sure a link to a file sharing site would be acceptable.

Here, and, when done, a PDF on travellerrpg.com... I'm a mod over there...

Please do post your stuff here! Roger, Starfleet Command! It might not be fully formatted to look like one of the CT LBBs, but rather a compromise between the ST material and certain aspects of the 2d6 CT system. The cosmetics can come later, IMO.

I like Trek and I like Traveller. Two great tastes, as they say.

Many years ago I developed a matter-anti-matter powerplant for traveller... TL17 and no fuel requirement (although it was 1.5 times the size of a TL15 powerplant).

5 years on, and PD Traveller looks to have been aborted. Grumpy Sigh.

Is this new information? I had this exchange with Jean Sexton four weeks ago:
Falconer: Why is there a GURPS Prime Directive revision? A revision of the core book? Jean Sexton: Because when I started getting into the details of it so that I could use it for Traveller, I kept finding problems and the problems kept mounting up. So it needed to be revised. Jean Sexton: We'd also gotten feedback consistently that the change from 3e to 4e was less than complete. That should fix those issues. Falconer: Traveller is still on its way? Jean Sexton: As soon as I finish GURPS PD. The problem has always been that I intended to use that as a base for the SFU information and it needed some fixing.

It's to the point that most who were waiting have given up. Plus, the majority of the fans wanted was OpenD6, not Traveller.

Yeah, I know what you mean — how long can one wait for a book to come out before saying screw it, and using another published or homebrew system? And it’s not like they’re going to produce support materials (adventures!) with any sort of alacrity, so, I doubt I’ll ever play it even when it does come out. It will be worth a look, though.

First post, but some of you know me from other forums. I have been waiting for years for the promised Traveller Prime Directive book to come out, only to see the project stall. At this point, despite the messages from Jean to Falconer, the project I believe is dead. If it were to be rebooted, it likely will end up using the Cepheus Engine, as that is the future of Traveller. Honestly, the best time to come out with the book was while Star Trek: Discovery was airing. After all, the first new Star Trek on the small screen in over a decade isn't anything to sneeze at, no matter whether you like the end result or not. Instead, we got Star Trek Adventures, and people will be flocking to that as the current licensed Trek game. Even I have a copy on an Amazon wish list, but Star Trek Adventures is not the game I would play. The game I wanted to play was Traveller "Star Trek", not Star Trek Adventures. So after thirty years of false starts and mental blocks, last year I released Star Trek: Alpha Quadrant, using a slightly tweaked version of the Cepheus Engine as its rule set. It's the Star Trek game I would want to play, and unlike Traveller Prime Directive isn't vaporware. Go ahead and give it a look. Even if you never play it, or even if you delete it from your hard drive, at least you now know there is something that can fill the void that the failed promises of Traveller Prime Directive have left.

Nice, thanks, Traveller. I’ll give it a look!
