What is it we're investigating here exactly? Something we can fly down to in a shuttle and take a look, or are we going to have to risk the transporters again? plus, if whoever was there is long gone, aside from cataloguing what evidence we can find, is there any reason for us to hang about, and instead just move on? I'm not sure what we're looking for (must admit, the pacing of the game slowed somewhat and I lost my focus). ON ANOTHER NOTE: I'm away from Sunday 24th july for 10 days (till August 3) so feel free to NPC Grayson as you will - just don't play him 'too smart' or people will get suspicious. He is an inbred redneck country boy, after all Cheers, Paul

The real question for the crew would be, "Is this world under immediate Videni Threat, and if not, are they a direct threat to the Confed." Followed closely by "Can we convince them to join the Confed if they are not protected under the Non-Interference Directive." And, for those of Kirk mindset, "Is there anyone cute worth molesting?"

I'll go with Kirk too. I would like to analyze the cave sample aramis. Do I need to make a roll for that?

Yup. Contact skill, and a question list.
If you prefer, you can do one q at a time if you make the contact skill.

Needless to say, that's like Grayson going up the computer, asking it a question and the computer saying "Get lost stupid"
Next!

No, it's more like Grayson fidgets with the scanner controls, gets a whole lot of weird lines, and needs to appoint some NPC to interpret them for him. He gets a reading but not one he can make sense of.

As mentioned in character we'll park the ship in orbit and beam down to the biggest civilisation area, somewhere outside the city/town/mud hut limits so as not to appear in the midst of something, then we can take a look and prepare our best "We come in peace" speeches. That's if the rest of the crew (players) are fine with it - Grayson is more of a leader by committee and I'm happy to spread the workload Any word from Drohem (Captain?) or is he MIA?
