I have seen the initials IKS used before Klingon ships’ names, but I have no idea where that comes from. I definitely do not think it is used in any TOS or TAS episode. Not that there is anything wrong with it. If you open it up to novels, there are more names that can be found: Vengeance from The Final Reflection, and Destructor from Trek to Madworld stand out to me so far. That gives me five names to work with, which is more than sufficient as I begin to build my D7/D6 fleet. They all match D7/D6 names in the official SFB ship names registry, too, except for Destructor (although there is a Destruction).
Not meaning to thread jack, but that is one of those cool little bits of attention to detail that has kept me coming back to Trek. Deep Space 9, season 2, episode 19 was called Blood Oath. It called for Kor, Kang and Koloth to come to the station to get Dax to participate in a blood oath. They actually got the original actors (John Colicos, Michael Ansara and William Campbell respectively) to reprise their roles from TOS.
I just thought that was really cool. We now return you to your original thread.
