Apparently this issue had a four-page article called Star Trek The Motion Picture - Rules for Adventures in the Final Frontier. I'd guess that it wasn't authorised. Does anyone know anything about it?

I have a copy of the issue. I remember looking at that article but honestly have no memory of its contents. I'll track it down and report back, unless someone beats me to it.

I believe Robert has mentioned it is basically little more than gunfighting rules (with hand phasers, obviously).

It's essentially minis battles with trek minis. And not even well done rules, at that.

I remember this - it was back in the days when White Dwarf was a magazine, not a monthly advert! Citadel Miniatures had brought out a series of figures from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and this article had rules for fighting skirmishes with them. It also had a floorplan of the bridge of the Enterprise, and a scenario that had a group of ambassadors (including Klingons!) being given a tour of the ship. The Klingons try to download secret information from the computer, and a fight starts. Basically, the idea was to have all the figures in the range jammed onto the bridge, and fight! Each alien race had its own objectives, ie, the Vulcans wanted to have peace prevail, and would neck-pinch anyone to achieve it, the Klingons wanted to get next to the computer and download the information, the Star fleet guys wanted to stop them, etc. OT, Aramis, could you tell me where your "enlisted ranks" for Starships and Spacemen are? I can't seem to find them in your PBEM (which I'm following with great enjoyment, by the way!) Grif

Thanks! BTW, have you seen the "Merchant Marine" rules for S&S over on the Goblinoid Games board? Grif
