Alright, so what’s the skinny? What are the best FASA modules?

I never liked the modules as modules - but the ones with deckplans I bought. You never realize how small the Ranger class is until you realize that at 1/4"=1.5m, it fills under 8pp...

The only modules I've bought so far are a couple of those linked to sourcebooks... the one about the Romulans and the Delta Triangle one.
I need to open them up and look at them.

Given that the mid-late 80s were not known for their modules (with a few major exceptions), I would be surprised if FASA Trek’s strengths lay in that area.

Like many modules of that time, most were very much railroads.
However, I have always enjoyed Demand of Honor, featuring a destroyer (iirc) patrolling the Gorn border.

There was one that involved a long cruise; it had a weekly(?) random-events percentile table for the GM to roll on. I remember one was "two crewmembers get married." My brother and I had the module, but after our group lost interest in playing Trek. We rolled up a year's worth of results on that table for a lark, and had 6 weddings pop up. We named the ship the "Love Boat" of course.
I bought about half of the mods, and enjoyed reading most of them, but never ran 'em.

I liked "Graduation Exercise." I thought it was a nice introduction to Klingon-centri roleplay and made for a good start to a campaign.

"The Vanished" and "Demand of Honor" were a bunch of fun to run. "Return to Axanar" made a great year-long campaign in the dorm in college.

I bought the ones with deckplans for the deckplans - which ranged from decent to excellent.
The adventures were, for the era, pretty good overall - a bit railroady, but most modules of the era were. The art was positively horrid except for the deckplans and maps. None of them really stand out as adventures, tho'.

My group got good use out of "Denial of Destiny" back in the day. Definitely on a railroad though.
