As per this blog post, I'm taking over DMing duties for my group, and I'll be running a science fiction campaign. Can anyone suggest any good adventure modules for any SF system (or that could be re-themed)? Especially good if they're for a d6 system such as Star Wars. |

Several of the Classic Traveller adventures can be readily ported... Adv. 8: Prison Planet comes immediately to mind. Safari Ship is another that would work well. As would the shorter Marooned, Shadows, Exit Visa, and Across the Bright Face... which, aside from mechanics, can be basically dropped right in.
the old WEG Star Wars Otherspace and Otherspace II are excellent, and can be ported out of the SW setting just fine.
The 2300 modules Aurore and Kafer Dawn can be ported, but mightn't be quite as creepy as they are in 2300, where aliens are rare and all NPCs.
House Devon in Trouble (for Spacemaster 1st ed) was fun.
Several of the Star Frontiers adventures can be ported readily as well; they're a better tech fit than Traveller.
As a side note: the CT, T20: Traveller's Handbook, or Mongoose Traveller Core Rule books all include pretty good trade systems for roleplay. Not overly realistic, but definitely playable, and if one lacks GG6: Tramp Freighters, they can provide the needed details for many a trade-focused campaign.

I can't suggest any good *adventures* but I can suggest some good *sources for ideas*. Here's where I looked to get ideas for plots (not whole adventures, just episode ideas): 1. Listed out all the episode synopses for TNG, B5, SG1, and SGA. Went through them for interesting plots that could be re-skinned for TOS. 2. Listed out all the episode synopses for TOS and TAS. Went through them for interesting hanging threads to make a follow-up on. 3. Star Trek: forum.trek-rpg.net/showthread.php?t=747 Star Wars: can't find my link any more 4a. Published adventures I looked at: FASA Star Trek, Traveller, Spacemaster, Star Frontiers 4b.
