I needed rules for cybernetic; here is what I found. From Space Patrol (p. 5 or 21): And from Starships & Spacemen (p. 63): Taking some inspiration from these, and after some rolls of the dice, I ended up giving the player “map vision” (he can sense the layout and dimensions of the surrounding area, but no life or energy readings) and improved hearing (bionic ears). I also added a robotic neck which allow his head to swivel all around like an owl’s. Cybernetics aren’t very much in keeping with the Star Trek aesthetic, but the Lieutenant in question had a run-in with an Orion mad scientist and didn’t have much of a say. I decided that he would appear completely human, but would have to wear a control medallion in the style of Mudd’s androids: This presumably allows his superior officers to disable him in case he goes haywire or becomes untrustworthy for some reason. Great fun!
