Hm, well you can look at the eBay listings, you can read the rules on the inside of the box cover. Looks VERY roll-and-move with almost no Trek flavor other than the box cover. There is a game I LOVE which does this better (I think), called Space Future. Been thinking of doing a light reskin to be slightly more explicit Star Trek.

Well, after some research it looks like very generic scifi with no StarTrekkiness to be seen -- just a 36x36 spacegrid with several planets. Apparently it's all about launching from Earth and having to visit several planets in turn before winning. What a person does on each planet may not be described. A party must land on each planet -- no transporters! No "wandering monster" possibilities while in transit. It could be heavily houseruled to some improvement, but it's amazing that something so lacklustre wound up on the market without consumer feedback, if any. Instead of orbital "steps", they need an orbital ring, and once in it the starship can dispatch a shuttlecraft or beam down. In all, it looks like a dumbed-down version of TSR's Star Probe.
