If you are potentially interested in joining a Star Trek Book Club, let me know! We'd select a book each month, read it, and meet for about 1 to 1.5 hours once a month to discuss the group via Zoom, with a GroupMe or Discord as a way to chat about the book offline in addition to the Zoom meetings (or if you can't make the Zoom). We would also likely talk about other Star Trek fandom related topics. If I can get Star Trek RPG fans as club members, then a side-aspect of the book club could be talking about the RPGs, and maybe creating system-neutral RPG related resources tied into the novels we are reading (like, maybe a map of the Taurus Reach if we read the Star Trek Vanguard series of books, or writing a short adventure inspired by the book we just read). Take this quick survey if you are potentially interested: forms.gle/MZ6MooQue565t3zt6:-)

Sounds awesome, Stan, but I presently have enough (too much!) on my plate with my own game and podcast; my wife would kill me if I committed to literally anything else at the moment! Hope it gets off the ground, though, and I hope you post updates here. I am (slowly) reading through a selection of novels, so if things happen to dovetail, I would love to “sit in”.

Awesome selection of novels on your backlog there! We will see what the book club wants to do; my favorites would probably be alternating between reading books from the Vanguard series on odd months, and books from this list -- classictrek.org/star-trek-novels/tos-top-25-novels/ -- very similar to yours! -- in even months. I'll see if we can have some sort of public 'here's what we're reading and discussing' list for allow for sit-ins or people to participate in asynchronous discussions via Discord or other forums.
