I tend to think that a Star Trek RPG should focus on new ideas, new planets, new races, etc., rather than regurgitating Star Trek “canon,” but there are definitely exceptions... What planets (or other locales?) featured in episodes of TOS/TAS are worth revisiting in a RPG campaign? Someone mentioned the Tantalus Penal Colony (“ Dagger of the Mind”) in another thread. The Elba II Asylum from “ Whom Gods Destroy” is a similar concept. Another place perhaps worth revisiting is the Amusement Planet from Shore Leave and Once Upon a Planet. All kinds of gonzo adventures can be had there! Obviously Orion and the Rigel system; the home worlds of Humans, Vulcans and Andorians; Babel; the Romulan Neutral Zone; the Klingon Neutral Zone (inc. Deep Space K-7); Starbase 11 and other starbases; Ceti Alpha V...

The pleasure planet in Shore Leave and Once Upon A Planet is one that I'd NEVER send PC's to.
I never set adventures at Tantalus Penal Colony... I merely used it as the place that Bad Officers get sent to become good citizens.
In fact, the only places I like to reuse are the various homeworlds, and Gamma Iota (A Piece of the Action).

I think the planet that housed the Guardian of Forever could stand a re-visit. Peter David, in his novel Imazadi, had a Federation research station set up in the vicinity of the Guardian using computers to study the images and scenes it displayed. I think an adventure that used that kind of a research station and the Guardian as a backdrop for a non-time-travel adventure would be extremely cool. The presence of the Guardian would definitely ground the adventure in the "world" of Trek, but it also wouldn't be a retread.

The Nazi planet would be fun to revisit several years afterwards. The anthropologist in me is fascinated by the idea of the cultural aftershocks from such blatant social manipulation and maybe exploring the other cultures of the planet.
Come to think of it, an entire campaign just spent in the various "we're calling this alternate development because we only have the budget to reuse sets and props from other shows" worlds would be a great deal of fun. The starship crew would be the clean-up team sent in to study and (maybe) nudge the various planets back towards a more healthy path.
