Today I found a cool show on Prime called "The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek."
I'm roughly 1/2 way through the show, which is around a dozen episodes. It starts with the creation of the series, talks about three years of Trek, then moves onto the animated series, then stuff about creation of The Motion Picture, and Wrath of Khan, and so on. Gates McFaddon is narrating the thing and there are interviews with Nimoy and Kirstie Alley and a lot of the producers and such.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the show and thought I'd share the experience. Anyone else watching this?

I watched the 1st episode and then life stuff distracted me from finishing. It seemed like a great series!

A small update:
Episodes #1-#8 are a history of Trek through Voyager. Episode #9 is all about the starships.
Unclear about #10 to the end. Will update.
Still loving the show.

#10 is about Enterprise (later called Star Trek Enterprise) #11 is about the actors who played various roles in Star Trek

A documentary about TOS proper, and maybe its antecedents and its phenomenon, would be more up my alley. Anything from 1987 on is of much less interest to me.
