Next Round of Psychic Combat: Ismayeel, [dice=6+14] Critter, [dice=6+15] Jasper?
Dog arrives following this round.
If you break 19, you'll knock down the beast by the difference. (You and Ismayeel are granting each other a +1...[rand=78763433404426568736818588127618188262991349628549681983480909078]

Can Jasper talk and think while locked in this psionic combat? Or, is he effectively out of the action while the combat lasts?

Can Jasper talk and think while locked in this psionic combat? Or, is he effectively out of the action while the combat lasts? GM call for this conflict: Roll twice and take worse result if talking; if instead doing an action, roll twice for it as well. Roll results: Since beasty was targeting Ismayeel, and I didn't include the help mod, his effective is 20; dead tie. You came in under, but weren't targeted. Did nothing (but helped Ismayeel enough to prevent him from dropping)... Dog provides an additional +1 on further rolls. Damage is temp to PSI, not Con, FYI...

Grayson, with course laid in, will 'engage' and get us under way. After that, he can try and lend his.. uh, talents to whatever situation is still pending.

Cool, sounds good. Jasper will continue to concentrate and put all his effort into the psionic combat. Jasper's adjusted (+2) Psionic Potential (15) roll = [dice=6+17].[rand=517590138033655202418862124582715743966750302682784396559661194042]

Ok, Ismayeel does 21-17 = 4, Brockway does 3, and Jasper 4... And you discover the beastie's mind is essentially armored by layers of personalities... it takes 2+1+2 = 5... dropping it to 10.

Johnson returns, bringing a tired, but conscious, Kordoba with.
Kordoba says, "I presume my Chariot has arrived, yes?"

Jasper ignores Alex's question and continues to focus all his energy into this psychic battle for Ismayeel.

7+6+4 damage (accounting for mind armor)=17 points. Puts it at -7.
It breaks off the contact as it slips into unconsciousness.

Can we use the laser gun to burn through the welds on the shuttle? I mean, would it be possible?

Yes... after all, that is what was used to weld them in the first place... tho' that's not character knowledge.
